Join Ben Franklin Technology Partners, the largest early-stage-company investor in NW Pa, in delivering top-notch business and management assistance to a portfolio of Ben Franklin companies and prospects. As part of the BF Transformation Business Services team, you will play a significant role in helping technology start-up businesses grow and succeed. We are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial candidate with strong business skills and the energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity to aid a wide range of entrepreneurs through direct consultation, and by coordinating the efforts of our team of professional management service providers.

The principal duty of the position is the diagnosis of company management, operational and growth issues, and the hands-on delivery of solutions to address those needs. Services provided by the Transformation team include sales and marketing strategy, corporate strategy, market research, cash management, financial planning, accounting operations, human resources, and software training.

The Field Office Director will be responsible for organizing and supporting efforts to create a strong entrepreneurial support system in the Northwest PA Region, both directly and in conjunction with other partners in the Region.

Additional responsibilities include the review of business strategies and active participation in planning sessions to define clear and measurable objectives for each company, monitor client progress and develop corrective strategies as needed. This position reports directly to the Director of Ben Franklin Transformation. Typically requires a Master’s degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.   Entrepreneurial and start-up business experience a plus. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
