BF TechCelerator @ Carlisle Announces Recent Boot Camp Winners!

CARLISLE On Thursday, November 7, 2013, graduates of the eight-week business mentoring program offered by Ben Franklin’s TechCelerator@Carlisle presented their business plan concepts to a panel of local business professionals that included: Chuck Russell, Senior Partner from Collective Intelligence; Bob Graham, Managing Partner from Penn Venture Partners, LP; and Bob Joyce, Chief Operating Officer from BioHitechAmerica.

Nicholas Mudgett, President/Lead Developer for GoGreenIT, Inc., received the first prize of $6,000. His company will provide electronic documentation and billing records for human services agencies.  Mr. Mudgett commented on his prize, “I am honored to receive this award and strongly recommend this program to any entrepreneur who is thinking about starting or running a small business.”  Chris Reese, Managing Partner, and Matt Sweitzer, Creative Director/Partner of the Ephyra Group were awarded $4,000 for their concept to provide branding services and variable print solutions. Chris Reese said, “This has been a fantastic experience and was exactly what we needed to focus our ambition. These are great people doing great things!”

Four other startups also successfully participated in the Boot Camp and made impressive final presentations: Nurse Recommended; Go! Do! Recreation!; Purple Deck Media; and SevenOneSeven Studios.

The Ben Franklin TechCelerator @ Carlisle, a partnership between Ben Franklin Technology Partners/CNP www.cnp.benfranklin.org and the economic development arm of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber, provides designated, shared workspace and focused business support services in an incubator setting to eligible start-ups for eight-week sessions.
