BF TECHCELERATOR GRADUATE TO PRESENT AT TechBUZZ 2014!

CARLISLE, PA – CRIMEWATCH (http://www.crimewatchus.com), a graduate of the BF TechCelerator at Carlisle by CREDC, as well as a recipient of Ben Franklin funding (http://www.cnp.benfranklin.org), was recently selected to present at the prestigious TechBUZZ 2014. The conference will be held at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business on September 19, 2014. Since its launch in 2011, 167 TechBUZZ companies have received more than $162 million in funding.

Note: The BF TechCelerator@Carlisle’s next session begins September 18, 2014. Only two seats remain open. See www.techcarlisle.com.

Matt Bloom, President and Founder of CRIMEWATCH, commented, “I am very excited to have this opportunity. To be accepted at this conference is an acknowledgement by industry professionals that we have graduated from an idea to a real business that is ready to grow.”

Bloom’s company developed an information sharing and intelligence gathering software for law enforcement that leverages web and mobile technologies to increase police/public partnerships on a local, state, and national scale. The participating agencies control and organize local public safety information in a format that enables immediate sharing of the information directly to the public in targeted areas.

The CRIMEWATCH network has proven to be a low-cost, easy-to-use web tool that offers the benefits of social media to distribute critical information to the population quickly and professionally. With the guidance provided by the Dauphin County District Attorney’s office and 15 police agencies throughout the capitol region, CRIMEWATCH has created a way for the public to communicate directly with law enforcement – generating hundreds of tips – that have led to more than 75 arrests.
