ERIE, PA — The Erie Innovation Fund, a partnership between the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority and Ben Franklin Technology Partners, recently invested in two Erie-based start-ups: CE Convergence, LLC and @Home FMS, LLC.

The purpose of the Erie Innovation Fund is to provide local entrepreneurs and established business owners with local investment capital.

CE Convergence, LLC which is located in Gannon University’s Erie Technology Incubator (http://erietech.org), offers licensed professionals a fully automated solution to maintain their accreditation and to simplify the tasks associated with managing continuing education credits.  Mr. Gene Cherner, President and CEO of CE Convergence, commented, “We are the only company that currently offers a universal, comprehensive, and completely automated solution – and automation is the key.  Loss of records or an error in any aspect of the continuing education process can result in a lapsed license or even a malpractice suit.  Our software eliminates the likelihood that these types of unfortunate situations will occur.”  For more information see www.ceconvergence.com or contact Mr. Cherner at gene.cherner@ceconvergence.com

@Home FMS, LLC which is located in Suite 300 at 5 West 10th Street is a spin-off business of Comfort Care and Resources, Inc.   The @Home System represents a huge technological breakthrough.  It efficiently automates the current paper process for billing of Medicaid-approved  homecare services for the elderly.  Mr. James Fetzner, CEO of @Home said, “We have developed a low-cost, point-of-care communication system that doesn’t use a single piece of paper.” For more information please contact Mr. Fetzner directly at jfetzer@ComfortCareResources.com
