FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 10, 2011
CARLISLE, PA — Ben Franklin Technology Partners/CNP and the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC), the economic development arm of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber, are inviting aspiring area entrepreneurs to “take a seat” in the July Cohort of Ben Franklin’s TechCelerator located in the HRC-CREDC Business Incubator in Carlisle.
Applications are being accepted now! The TechCelerator is a new service program targeting very early-stage entrepreneurs. It is a designated, shared workspace and program of pre-launch business and market research services designed to provide the skills needed to convert business ideas into reality.
The candidates chosen to participate in this summer’s cohort will receive access to a seed account to get them started on fully developing their business plan. Those who successfully complete the program can compete for $10,000 to jump start their business and will have the opportunity to pitch their idea to a panel of investors.
Pam Martin, the Executive Director of the Ben Franklin TechCelerator Program commented, “Some of the best business ideas we’ve seen so far have come from college students. There are six open seats for the summer cohort term, and we’ll be taking applications until June 15, 2011.”
