Ben Franklin Technology Partners will award one winning company with $50,000 to start or develop a technology-oriented business. The $50,000 Big Idea Business Plan Contest supports manufacturing and technology-based companies. Even if you haven’t started your business yet, you are eligible to apply!
To qualify, entrepreneurs must have:
- A new marketable business idea
- Less than $500,000 in sales in year-to-date 2011 and less than $500,000 for the full year of 2010
- Fewer than 50 employees in 2010 and 2011
- Not received previous BFTP funding for this business
- Operations for this business (or the willingness to start the business) in any one of the following 32 participating PA counties:
