The Erie Technology Incubator http://www.erietech.org will stimulate the development of advanced technologies in areas such as computer and information systems, bio-science, and engineering.  Businesses that locate in the incubator have access to the talent and skill sets of Gannon faculty, students, the Small Business Development Center, and the Technology Council of NWPA. 

Gannon University and the Greater Erie Industrial Development Corporation used $4,000,000 in funding presented to them by Gov. Ed Rendell in 2006 to develop a technology-based incubator.  The incubator is located on the downtown campus of Gannon University in what was formerly a Boys and Girls Club, and is situated right in the center o Erie’s Keystone Innovation Zone.  

The TechCelerator @ Carlisle – A partnership between Ben Franklin and the Harrisburg Regional Chamber/CREDC, the TechCelerator is the region’s most innovative business incubation and support program.  Located at 453 Lincoln Street in Carlisle, PA, the TechCelerator is designated, shared work space with access to on-site, one-on-one business mentoring.

The Altoona Blair County Development Corporation’s incubator project (a partnership between Penn State Altoona and the Altoona County Development Corporation) provides an administrative and program bridge linking academic entrepreneurial studies with real-world resources and applications. www.abcdcorp.org

The Centre County Industrial Development Corporation’s Business Incubator Program, located in Research Park at the main campus of Penn State University, provides entrepreneurs the ability to build a vast network of advisors, identify sources of capital, utilize flexible office/lab space, participate in the KIZ tax credit program and develop business plan skills.

The mission of the CCIDC’s Business Incubator Program is to provide a nurturing environment where entrepreneurs can pursue their dreams.  To date, dozens of companies have graduated from the CCIDC Business Incubator Program.  A majority of these emerging companies remain in Centre County and are now providing employment to over 1,000 people.  These businesses provide economic stability for the region and are a vital part of the county’s success.  http://www.centrecountyidc.org
