STATE COLLEGE, PA – In the past eight years, more than 100 teams have graduated from Ben Franklin’s TechCelerator@State College. This successful partnership with the Invent Penn State initiative is offering local entrepreneurs, grad-students, professors, and university researchers a 10-Week Business Startup Boot Camp.
The weekly sessions will run on Tuesdays, April 7, 2020 – Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. One-hour mentoring/coaching sessions will also be provided each week.
This is a no-cost opportunity! Assistance with legal, accounting, or customer discovery costs will be provided, and you’ll have the chance to pitch to a panel of judges at the completion of the course. The winning team will receive up to $10,000 in seed funding to help get their startup UP and running. In addition, select teams may also be eligible for a grant from the Invent Penn State NSF I-Corps Site.
Business mentoring from Ben Franklin’s Transformation Business Services Network and Penn State’s Small Business Development Center staff will also be available. You’ll come away from this experience with a working business model, networking contacts, and the confidence that comes from knowing if it’s the right time to start developing your innovation.
