Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin today continued his “Jobs that Pay” tour at the Ben Franklin TechCelerator @ State College, business incubator and entrepreneurial support system, to highlight Governor Wolf’s commitment to support entrepreneurs and increase technology investments.
“As technological change and market competition have intensified, state support for technology innovation has become increasingly important in ensure growth in this sector as it helps to rebuild the middle class,” said Davin. “The significant reforms proposed in Governor Wolf’s budget will continue to move Pennsylvania forward by creating a pro-business climate that supports Pennsylvania’s entrepreneurs and start-up companies.”
Governor Wolf’s 2015-16 budget will provide $100 million in technology investments to support entrepreneurs, established companies and manufacturing innovation through revenue from the severance tax on gas drilling.
