The BF TechCelerator Program
With locations in State College and Harrisburg, the Ben Franklin TechCelerators have formed partnerships with a variety of regional/local economic development initiatives to provide tech startups with designated work space, seed funding, mentoring services, and networking opportunities all housed in a one-stop-shop.
The “Boot Camps” for business startups, offered free of charge at each location, allow area entrepreneurs, faculty members, grad students, and researchers, the opportunity to gather the information they need in order to make an informed go/no-go decision on starting a business in a relatively risk free environment. To date, more than 50 new companies have been formed.
Venture Investment Forum
The training arm of the Ben Franklin program, Venture Investment Forum helps our later stage, growth companies explore follow-on funding opportunities by offering “pitch” training. Making a successful pitch to potential investors such as Angels or Venture Capital groups, is often the way to infuse much needed capital in to your business at a critical time. Once you have mastered a “pitch perfect” presentation, gaining an introduction to these types of investors will be the next step. Ben Franklin’s Director of Second Stage Capital, John Sider is available to make these introductions when your company is ready for additional investment.
eMarketing Learning Center
The eMarketing Learning Center offers specialized seminars on all aspects of digital sales and marketing including topics such as, “Search Engine Optimization”, Introduction to Blogging, Starting an eNewsletter, Utilizing Video in your Marketing Campaigns, LinkedIn and Twitter for Manufacturers, How to create an eCommerce Site, Web Design, and more.
