STATE COLLEGE, PA – Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central & Northern PA has been investing in tech-startups and small manufacturers for nearly 35 years. . This week, at our December 2017 Board of Director’s meeting, five company projects were approved to receive funding and business support services from the program:

Located in State College, Atoptix, LLC, now doing business as Croptix, has developed a handheld smartphone-compatible plant health sensor for farmers that enables them to diagnose crop disease early enough to take the corrective actions needed to reduce losses.

Xact Metal, Inc., also located in State College, PA, is producing advanced direct-metal 3D printing products and services.  The company is dedicated to supporting the next generation of innovative manufacturing solutions while offering its customers the lowest price printer capable of producing industry standard part quality.

Located in Philipsburg, Global Software Applications LLC offers its cloud-based SurferQuest business center products to thousands of hotels, motels, and resorts as a stand-alone software solution that can be remotely installed on any hardware platform.

Erie Artificial Intelligence, located in Erie and doing business as Rokkboxx, developed a video music management and delivery service suitable for any organization that wants to provide pre-recorded, digitally stored and delivered music/video entertainment to any venue.

Helpified, located in Bradford, developed a low-cost software based training program that allows organizations to create, organize, and share any type of learning materials with internal and external team members.
