Join Ben Franklin’s Team in State College!

Ben Franklin Transformation Business Services Network is the principal provider of management and business assistance to tech-entrepreneurs and early-stage companies that are being supported by Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern PA. The position of Field Office Director serves as the principal point-of-contact for the Ben Franklin Transformation team in Central PA, operating from the State College, PA office at Penn State’s Innovation Park. The successful candidate may also be asked to provide mentoring and business support services to other locations in Ben Franklin’s 32-county footprint when the need aligns with their technical expertise. The primary responsibility of this position is to implement the programs, services and activities of the Transformation Business Services program, which includes an assessment of the company management team, operational and growth issues, sales and marketing strategy, corporate strategy, market research, cash management, financial planning, accounting operations, human resources and software training. Additional responsibilities include the review of business strategies, and active participation in planning sessions to define clear and measurable objectives for each company, monitor client progress and develop corrective strategies as needed. The successful candidate will also be responsible for organizing and supporting efforts to create a strong entrepreneurial support system in the region, both directly and in conjunction with other service providers. This position reports directly to the President/CEO of Ben Franklin. Typically requires a Master’s degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.  Visit to apply
