You don’t need to be a famous inventor or scientist like Ben Franklin in order to be eligible to enter our $50,000 BIG IDEA Contest. But, the innovators who win our contests tend to have one thing in common; they see things differently.
Ben Franklin Technology Partners, in partnership with the Startup Alleghenies initiative, is looking for the region’s tech-entrepreneurs, innovators, and small manufacturers who are developing new products, processes, or software applications.

It’s easy to qualify for the contest and even easier to apply. If you are located in one of the participating counties (Bedford, Blair, Fulton, Cambria, Huntingdon, or Somerset); you have not previously received Ben Franklin funding; you want to turn your big idea into a manufacturing or tech business; and you do not currently have more than $1,000,000 in sales revenue, Type BigIdea.BenFranklin.org in your browser for details and the entry form.
