LANCASTER, PA –On Tuesday, November 12, 2019 six local tech-entrepreneurs made pitch presentations to a panel of judges for a chance to win up to $10,000. The audience of more than 70 people who attended also had the opportunity to vote for their favorite pitch. First place ($7,000) as well as the Fan Favorite Vote went to Sam Beiler and Jared Neff with Boostpoint, a startup that provides an easy way for small businesses to advertise on Facebook and Instagram. Second place ($3,000) was awarded to Veronika Miller with Design Trail, who developed a local recommendation/review platform that focuses only on the design market.
For the past ten weeks, these entrepreneurs have been participating in Ben Franklin’s TechCelerator@TheCandy Factory, an intensive business Startup Bootcamp Program that has already helped launch dozens of startups across Central PA. Andy Long, Ben Franklin’s Program Manager, commented, “Congratulations to Boostpoint and Design Trail on a job well done. Those who participated for the past ten weeks all deserve kudos as the curriculum is challenging. It’s our hope that all the teams came away from the experience with the ability to move their business concepts forward.”
