Ben Franklin Technology Partners-CNP Appoints Dr. Diane Bouis to Lead Central Region’s Investments Portfolio

Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern PA (BFTP-CNP) recently announced an expanded leadership role for Diane Bouis, PhD, MBA. Since joining the organization in July as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) with the Ben Franklin Transformations Advisory Team, Bouis has now assumed a dual role with the Ben Franklin Investment Group as the Central Regional Director while continuing her work as an EIR.

In her expanded position, Bouis will serve as the primary point of contact for early-stage tech startups seeking financial capital, mentoring, and business support services across Centre, Mifflin, and Juniata counties.

“Diane brings a rare combination of deep scientific expertise, C-suite operational leadership, and a proven track record of guiding early-stage companies from concept to commercialization,” said Steve Brawley, President & CEO at BFTP-CNP. “In her new role, she will accelerate growth for our local founders in Centre, Mifflin and Juniata counties as well as strengthen Pennsylvania’s innovation ecosystem.”

Bouis brings decades of cross-sector leadership spanning health tech, biotech, energy, materials, and agriculture. She currently serves as Acting CEO of MicroVascular Health Solutions (a subsidiary of BioRegenX) and is the Founder of BullsView Ventures, where she has advised more than 300 startups, academic innovators, incubators, and venture funds.

A published academic scientist, Bouis’s research experience includes cancer, cardiovascular disease, stroke, gene therapy, and immunology. She holds a PhD in medical sciences and a top-tier MBA, making her uniquely equipped to bridge the gap between complex research and commercial market success.

“Central Pennsylvania has an exceptional wealth of talent, academic research, and entrepreneurial grit,” said Bouis. “I am excited to expand my work with Ben Franklin to help regional founders secure the strategic capital, hands-on advisory services, and networks they need to scale high-impact businesses right here in our community.”
