INDIANA, PA – Since early June, five local entrepreneurial teams have been participating via Zoom in an intensive Business Startup Boot Camp offered by the Ben Franklin TechCelerator@Indiana. In partnership with several economic development initiatives such as IUP’s Small Business Development Center, JARI, Startup Alleghenies, and the Indiana County Center for Economic Operations, the program targeted emerging tech innovators from the region. Those who were chosen to participate represent an exciting mix of target markets, products, and services.
SOMEONE WILL WALK AWAY WITH UP TO $10,000!
Business opportunities from this cohort range from the development of sensors that detect the deterioration of foods, pharmaceuticals, and oils; a platform that helps young adults navigate life-transitions; the development of innovative sportswear attire for women; an all-natural weight loss product, and an on-demand healthcare staffing platform.
Show your support for these local entrepreneurs! Join us via Zoom for the Final’s Presentation Event on August 18, 2021 beginning at 2:00 PM. Each team will pitch their business concept to a panel of independent judges in hopes of winning up to $10,000! In addition, the audience members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite pitch and help one of the teams receive $1,000 as the “People’s Choice Award”.
