Chevron Technology Ventures, GE Oil & Gas, & ADI Analytics to Participate at Shale Gas Innovation Contest Finals

PITTSBURGH, PA –On May 15, 2014 in Southpointe, PA during the Third Annual Shale Gas Innovation Contest, an Innovation Panel will feature Kemal Anbarci, Vice President & Managing Executive, Chevron Technology Ventures, Richard Hall, Global Marketing Director, GE Oil & Gas, and Uday Turaga, CEO, ADI Analytics.

Chevron Technology Ventures champions innovation, commercialization and integration of emerging technologies within Chevron. CTV identifies, acquires, tests, validates, and, if appropriate, helps integrate technologies into the company’s core businesses. Currently 15 companies in the O&G space are in their investment portfolio.

According to a January 2014 GE press release, Oil & Gas is one of GE’s fastest-growing businesses, with orders rising from less than $1 billion per year in 1994 to nearly $20 billion today and profits growing at an average 16 percent over the past three years. With a major emphasis on expanding their O&G business, GE has their eyes keenly on new innovations related to their O&G interests.

ADI Analytics is a boutique consulting and advisory firm specializing in oil and gas, energy, and chemicals. ADI CEO Uday Turaga commented, “The unconventional resource industry owes everything to innovation — right from its birth through its rapid development in the past few years.  But we are nowhere done yet and innovation alone will ensure the industry’s sustainable growth through the next generation of challenges around well productivity, water management, flaring, and resource monetization.”

The Innovation Contest Finals Event will be held from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Southpointe, PA. A broad range of technologies will be on display, and four winners of the contest will each walk away with a check for $25,000. The 13 Finalists will be joined by 11 Exhibitors during a reception that immediately follows the finalist presentations and naming of the winners at this free event.
