Ben Franklin’s Transformations Business Services is the principal provider of management and business assistance to entrepreneurs and early-stage companies that are funded by Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern PA www.cnp.benfranklin.org . We currently have an open position – Field Office Director – that serves as the principal point-of-contact for the team in South Central PA, covering Franklin, Adams, York, Lancaster Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon, and Perry counties.
The primary responsibility of the position is the diagnosis of company management, operational and growth issues, and the delivery or procurement of the appropriate type of assistance. These services are provided most often in the critical start-up or early-stage of the company’s growth. Services provided by the Transformations team include sales and marketing strategy, corporate strategy, market research, cash management, financial planning, accounting operations, and software training.
Additional responsibilities include the review of business strategies and active participation in planning sessions to define clear and measurable objectives for each company, monitor client progress and develop corrective strategies as needed. In addition, the Field Office Director will be responsible for organizing and supporting efforts to create a strong entrepreneurial support system in the region, both directly and in conjunction with other service providers.
This position reports directly to the Director of Ben Franklin Transformations and typically requires a Master’s degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Entrepreneurial and start-up business experience is a plus. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
