Two Startups Each Won $5,000 from the BF TechCelerator@Carlisle by CREDC!

CARLISLE Ben Franklin’s TechCelerator@Carlisle by CREDC’s spring cohort wrapped up on Thursday evening, April 7, 2016. The business startup program, which is a partnership between Ben Franklin Technology Partners/CNP www.cnp.benfranklin.org and the economic development arm of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber, provides designated, shared workspace and focused business support services in an incubator setting to eligible start-ups.

A panel of local judges, which included Bob Graham (Penn Venture Partners), Josh Benton (AndCulture and Hatchback), and Melissa McLaughlin (Harrisburg Regional Chamber/CREDC) awarded cash prizes in the amount of $5,000 to XoomRooms, LLC and CRO Fitness. XoomRoom’s technology makes it possible to create a semi-private space in an existing home or co-working space. CRO Fitness’s GO Time clock has a mobile app and cloud-based back-end that connects to the multiple timers/mobile devices of many athletes all at once.

Ross Gibson, the TechCelerator’s Program Manager, commented, “All five entrepreneurs, who participated in the latest 8-Week Business startup Boot Camp, did an outstanding job and the entire cohort will have access to our co-working space, at the incubator in Carlisle, free for 3-months. In addition to the winners this includes, HS Protection, Enterprio, and BuildingApplication. We look forward to continued mentoring sessions with these entrepreneurs.
