Ben Franklin Technology PArtners Invests in Altered State Distillery
Erie, Pennsylvania, March 31, 2022 – Altered State Distillery, a medal-winning distiller of spirits based in Erie, PA, has been awarded an investment by the Ben Franklin Technology PArtners / Central & Northern PA. In partnership with the Delaware Valley Fields Foundation “Seed Spark Project”, Faytak Farms in Girard, PA and CNC Malting Mill in Altoona, PA, Altered State founders Gavin Maus and Aaron Hetz have developed a unique and innovative process to bring an heirloom Pennsylvania spirit to market.
“Working with the Ben Franklin team has been very helpful in getting us set up for success. As a small business, the resources and business guidance that Ben Franklin provides, in addition to the capital investment, will help us create a successful new product line and a wide variety of family-sustaining jobs . . . and we’ve already created two new jobs due to Ben Franklin’s support”, said Gavin Maus, President of Altered State Distillery, LLC.
“Our entire team values the opportunity to work with and invest in entrepreneurs, like Gavin and Aaron, and value their focus on innovating within their markets. What is doubly exciting is that this project not only introduces a new product but also drives collaboration with a variety of businesses and initiatives across the entire Commonwealth”, said Brian Slawin, Director and Portfolio Manager of Ben Franklin Technology PArtners / Central & Northern PA in the Northwest Offices in Erie.
The product will be available at the Altered State Distillery in Erie, PA and on shelves in 2023.
